  • A Ghostly Encounter’s Storm Policy (as follows)
  • 1. A Ghostly Encounter tours operate rain or shine. Florida weather changes rapidly and is unpredictable, and we monitor our weather prior to all tours.
  • 2. If lighting is present in the area: we will delay the start of the tour for 20 minutes to give the storm time to pass, then proceed as normal.
  • 3. If lightening remains present in the area, management may decide to reschedule the tour. Guests will be moved to the following evening’s tours or to the nearest date convenient with the group.
  • 4. If rescheduling is not convenient, each guest will be provided a voucher for a future A Ghostly Encounter tour, subject to availability. For offer to be valid, guest must present the voucher directly to our office staff upon returning to St. Augustine or speak directly with the office staff to reschedule (not through a third-party booking site). Please remember to bring your voucher with you. Lost or forgotten vouchers will not be honored; however, vouchers do not expire.

We really liked our tour guide. Mikayla. She told some personal stories that added to the tour and showed us pictures of "reported" ghostly images on her phone. She was friendly, honest and interesting. The 90-minute tour seemed to pass quickly as we visited the different "haunted" locations. Not "true believers" we still found the stories interesting and the historical facts informative. We had never heard the story of the two lovers entombed in the Castel De San Marcos that still walk the parapets. Some of the stories are sad and tragic but that's both historical facts and what makes ghost. FYI- The only negative of the tour was beyond the guide's control. People driving by and yelling out of their car windows at the GATE location. I guess they think it's funny when it's really childish and disrespectful. Just be aware it could happen and don't let it spoil the experience. We enjoyed the tour very much.

Our family has been coming to St. Augustine for years. We have been on many tours, but this one stood out! Our guide was Blanco, and he was phenomenal! The emphasis on the history of the city was especially interesting. Take the tour, and ask for Blanco!
