This small-group tour is limited in order to maintain an atmosphere suitable for the ghost walk.

  • 1. A Ghostly Encounter tours operate rain or shine. Florida weather changes rapidly and is unpredictable, and we monitor our weather prior to all tours.
  • 2. If lighting is present in the area: we will delay the start of the tour for 20 minutes to give the storm time to pass, then proceed as normal.
  • 3. If lightening remains present in the area, management may decide to reschedule the tour. Guests will be moved to the following evening’s tours or to the nearest date convenient with the group.
  • 4. If rescheduling is not convenient, each guest will be provided a voucher for a future A Ghostly Encounter tour, subject to availability. For offer to be valid, guest must present the voucher directly to our office staff upon returning to St. Augustine or speak directly with the office staff to reschedule (not through a third-party booking site). Please remember to bring your voucher with you. Lost or forgotten vouchers will not be honored; however, vouchers do not expire.

The meeting place for this tour is in a great location in the historic section of St. Augustine; however, the tour itself was somewhat disappointing. Although the stories told during this tour were interesting, the tour guide (Tom) was not. He was very dry and lacked the passion I’ve experienced from other ghost tours I’ve been part of in the past. If you’re looking to hear frightening ghost stories that will bring a chill down your spine, this is not for you.

We’re surprised that you were disappointed in Tommy’s tour! His passion and knowledge of the town’s history and unexpected deaths is extensive. We realize that there are multiple tour companies in town that relay their stories in a dramatic or staged manner; however, we choose to honor our dead by relaying these facts without theatrics, jump scares, or extra embellishment. Tommy has garnered multiple five star reviews for his efforts, but we appreciate you taking the time to express your concerns. Have an amazing remainder to your summer!

We enjoyed hearing the stories behind the people of St. Augustine and why it is a haunted city. Our sheriff tour guide was very knowledgeable and told amazing stories as we walked from area to area. I wish we could have done a few more of there haunted trips. I would definitely recommend.

There were about 11 or 12 in our group. Tommy was our tour leader. The stories and tour spots were very interesting. Tommy was OUTSTANDING. It was hard to tell if he was acting or if his demeanor was always so serious. Also the dry humor was awesome and well-timed. Great education from someone who obviously wanted to teach. Another tour leader that we passed noted that Tommy "is one of the best in our business." I would say so too. It was the best historical / "ghost" tour I've had, and I have been on >10.
