This small-group tour is limited in order to maintain an atmosphere suitable for the ghost walk.

  • A Ghostly Encounter’s Storm Policy (as follows)
  • 1. A Ghostly Encounter tours operate rain or shine. Florida weather changes rapidly and is unpredictable, and we monitor our weather prior to all tours.
  • 2. If lighting is present in the area: we will delay the start of the tour for 20 minutes to give the storm time to pass, then proceed as normal.
  • 3. If lightening remains present in the area, management may decide to reschedule the tour. Guests will be moved to the following evening’s tours or to the nearest date convenient with the group.
  • 4. If rescheduling is not convenient, each guest will be provided a voucher for a future A Ghostly Encounter tour, subject to availability. For offer to be valid, guest must present the voucher directly to our office staff upon returning to St. Augustine or speak directly with the office staff to reschedule (not through a third-party booking site). Please remember to bring your voucher with you. Lost or forgotten vouchers will not be honored; however, vouchers do not expire.

We had so much fun with “The Sheriff” Even though it was raining for the first part of the trip he kept us entertained and answered all of our ghost questions (my teenager thinks she’s a ghost expert thanks to YouTube). My kids definitely slept with the lights on in their room the night after our tour!

I did this tour several years ago and it was great. This tour however left much to be desired. We walked with Captain Irish and he didn't impress me. He rushed thru the tour and stories. He kept saying "I could tell you this (story) but it's stupid. And he moved on. Only stopped three times and he was very sarcastic. Really seemed to not want to be there at all. Not worth the $50 we spent.

Had a great time hearing all the history and stories with our guide Dion!!! He was so much fun and told us all about the history during our walking tour!!!! If you get him as your guide prepare for a spooky time!!!! He’s was the best!!!
