Ferries are wheelchair accessible, though boarding ramps may vary in steepness due to tides. Please advise in Special Requirements at time of booking if wheelchair assistance is required.

Having had a lovely walk during the day from Fisherman’s Wharf to and over the Golden Gate we continued downhill to Sausalito. We passed by several food and drink outlets to the ferry terminal. Hundreds of cyclists were waiting to use the ferry back to San Francisco. We looked at the timetable and decided to have a further look around and opted for the last ferry which also called at Tiburon which happened to be the last available ferry for cyclists. While waiting we went for a cocktail at The Spinnaker. What a find! Very sophisticated with excellent service and a fabulous view across the water. I would definately recommend doing the same. We got the ferry without a problem being just foot passengers but there were still an enormous amount of cyclists left on the Quay side as the ferry left. I don’t know how they got back? If cycling don’t rely on getting the last ferry. It’s all up hill going back!

We were staying at Fisherman's Wharf and wanted to see Sausalito. We took this ferry over and back. It is a (3) stop trip stopping at Angel Island, Tiburon and Sausalito. The purchase of tickets, boarding and departing all were done efficiently and with friendly staff. At one stop while we were on the top deck we engage the pilot with some questions and she was very friendly and informative. As noted in other comments, do be sure you understand the schedule. The timing of the landings in Sausalito are not great. If you want to have anytime visiting, be sure you are on time and understand. They will not wait for stragglers, they keep to their schedule. Pricing seems fair, we are seniors and the senior price is very reasonable. We do recommend using the ferry rather than driving unless Sausalito is only a stop on a longer trip.

We rode the ferry back from Sausalito to San Fran with our bikes around sunset. The only negative was that the boat was very late arriving at and then departing Sausalito so we spent a long time in the queue waiting. There was plenty of space on the boat and we enjoyed the views of San Fran and the Golden Gate bridge.
