Ferries are wheelchair accessible, though boarding ramps may vary in steepness due to tides. Please advise in Special Requirements at time of booking if wheelchair assistance is required.
Wheelchair-accessible restroom facilities are available aboard all ferries, however wheelchair tie-downs are not currently available
Animals are permitted on the ferries but must be leashed at all times. Owners remain wholly responsible for their animals.

Ticketing was easy. The available times were sufficient. It was a sunny day, so we rode outside - a little windy, but it felt so good. Mid-day so not a lot of people going over. However, on the way back about 6pm it was overloaded with bikes! I mean the waiting line was extremely long, the loading time took forever as they went on first before pedestrians, then there wasn't anywhere to sit.

Unfortunately there is no way for us to predict the number of passengers including cyclists that are ready for a ride across the bay. I frequently ride my bike from SF to Sausalito or Tiburon then take the ferry back. It is a great opportunity for some amazing pictures (I'll add a few of mine). Be sure to wander all over the boat - you may find the perfect nautical theme to include in your pics of the SF Bay and city.

They left on time both ways. Nice clean and tidy ship with no dramas at all. The trip to Sausalito isn't cheap at $12.50 per person each way ($50 for a couple return). Lots of people do one way by bike and return by boat - plently of room on the boat for them and people without bikes are let on and off first to reduce congestion - a good idea.
