Si vous avez un retard météo, ne vous inquiétez pas ! Profitez de la petite ville originale que nous appelons chez nous! Le temps passé à Talkeetna sera difficile à oublier car vous verrez des touristes se mêler à des alpinistes, tous regardant la météo pour voir quand ils peuvent sauter dans un avion et s'envoler pour voir Denali. Profitez des boutiques et des restaurants qui bordent Main Street, arrêtez-vous au Talkeetna Historical Society Museum pour en savoir plus sur l'histoire colorée de la ville, ou profitez de l'un des nombreux sentiers qui vous invitent à explorer au-delà du trottoir.

We did Denali summit flight tour with glacier landing in June 2022. It was the highlight of our 1-week Alaska trip! Such a memorable experience! We lucked out with great weather and were able to see the summit so clear and close! We also did a helicopter glacier landing tour which costed almost the same, but in my opinion this tour was just next level!

I have flown before with TAT in 2018, while attempting a Denali summit climb. I was impressed with the professionalism of the staff and pilots. Since then, I have tried twice to take a flightseeing trip to see the parts of the climb and summit we were unable to reach due to inclement weather, and also to share the experience with my wife. Unfortunately, the first time we booked the trip was in 2020, so it was cancelled. We tried again this year (2022) and booked our Summit Tour in January. A minimum of 4 must be registered for this trip to “fly”. As luck would have it, the threat of clouds at the summit caused the other couple to back out of the flight, leaving us “grounded”. At this point, the staff, and especially Sandy, went to work to see what options and accommodations were available for us. We were offered several possibilities, but the weather and not being unable to meet the minimum number of clients worked against our goal of seeing the top part of the mountain. We much appreciated the efforts put forth by Sandy (and others) to get us in the air, but our goal was very specific and it was just not going to happen this time. If/when we try again, it will be with Talkeetna Air Taxi.

I was leary of the glacial landing-It was wonderful-so smooth. I highly recommend it. The views are spectacular! everyone had their own window. Fresh snow the day we went. We were given rubber covers for our boots. The takeoff was so fast. Our Pilot was very informative. One of the highlights of any travel experiences.
