We live, eat, and dream surfing and teach surfing because we want to share our love and stoke for the sport. This is a life choice for us and what gives our lives meaning.

All of Kapowui's instructors are imbued with the Aloha spirit, live within blocks of the beach (4 of them live in surf vans), surf every day and have many years teaching experience.

I had such a great time Booking with kapowui. Harry who was my surfing instructor really helped hone my surfing technique. I can say that my surfing skills exponentially improved. I plan to go back in a week and to bring a friend.

I've had a few surf lessons before but left feeling like I'd only experienced surfing without gaining any knowledge as to what I was doing or how to attempt it successfully again myself. Kapowi changed this in the first 10 min; hands down best surf lesson I've ever had, wonderful company - professional, timely and knowledgeable. Ruben had me surfing on my second attempt and I left feeling capable to finally go out and practice back home with knowledge on reading the wave patterns, timing of getting up etc., couldn't have asked for a better instructor! Thank you Ruben and thank you Kapowi!

My husband and I took a 2-hour group lesson with Todd this morning. Best experience ever!! Todd took time to go over the basics for our beginner group. Once in the water, he worked hard to make sure we all got the right wave for our ability. Highly recommend!! Also, a couple of 🐬🐬 swam right by us!
