Learn to surf on this 2-hour group lesson on Oahu. Join a group of students and discover how to ride the waves like some of the Island's most famous celebrities with the help of a certified, professional instructor. We have small student to instructor ratio of 1 instructor for every 3-4 students. Waikiki Surf Lesson starts a 10 minute safety slide show inside our surf shop, followed by heading to the beach and practicing on the sand for another 10 minutes. In our 20 year experience, we know that surfing is muscle memory, so when first timers master their surf stance then they tend to get up on their very first wave.

The explanation of precautions in advance was available in multiple languages, and there was also a description in Japanese. But I missed some because I was very fast. (Like warm-up exercises. There was some guidance, but I was also concerned about the fact that I couldn't get time for the warm-up exercise because I was led to the beach quite quickly.) Basic English was used during the lesson, but I enjoyed it without any problems! I was quickly tired because I used more energy than I expected, but I said, "When you're tired, rest easy!" It was very helpful because they cared about me.

I really enjoyed the surfing lesson. Pete Stahel was a great teacher! The video recordings with the drone are incredibly cool! I would definitely book with Hans Hedemann again!

Wear water leggings~ Coral reefs are dangerous. I had a lot of fun riding it at a low price. I recommend it! The instructors are friendly and cheerful, and there is nothing lacking. I was the worst, but you helped me get up, no matter what haha.
