Experience the thrill of catching a wave on Oahu’s North Shore, known worldwide as a surfing mecca. Head to Haleiwa and learn the basics from a licensed surf instructor who stays by your side, ensuring you catch gentle but rideable waves. Beginners, hang loose — your 2-hour lesson takes place in a protected cove at Haleiwa Beach Park, safely away from larger ocean swells. Choose from multiple options: group, semi-private or private family lesson in the morning, midday or afternoon.

We have been coming to Hawaii for about 10 years and I first took lessons from NSSG about 4 years ago. My wife has started surfing in the last 3 years as well. She currently has some shoulder problems and has problems paddling. Carol said no problem and that we'll do whatever we need to protect that shoulder. She always paddled my wife out and gave her a good push to get her up. Also, as I know how to catch waves on my own now, both Carol and her staff still manage to keep an eye out for me and give me a heads up if it looks like I might run into trouble such as surfing in a unsafe area or getting pulled out by rip currents. We never consider surfing with another company as they are extremely flexible to an persons needs, and super safety conscious.

I wanted some dedicated surf coaching to help me get my confidence back after a terrifying surf experience in the Maldives and lots of injuries. I chose North Shore Surf Girls as i wanted a female coach and had read amazing reviews on Carol and the team. Carol was an amazing coach, she got me straight back in the water, up on my board and helped me get my confidence back so i could get out in the big surf on my own again. I had private lessons and cannot recommend Carol and the girls highly enough. Every session was fun and supportive and I've learned lots of new tips and skills that have taken my surfing to the next level. Mahalo Sian

Carol and Lindsey were so amazing as surfing instructors, they were very helpful all the time and everyone seemed to have a lot of fun! The spot that they took us is amazing, the waves are perfect for beginners and we definitely felt like we knew what we were doing! The corals weren't a problem at all! I had such a good time! Thank you so much girls!
