Thoughtful Chef Tours is permitted and licensed by the Pike Place Market Preservation and Development Authority (PDA) to operate in the Pike Place market Historical District. The PDA requires any business or person conducting paid tours within its properties and in the public areas of the historical district to be pre-approved and to have a license for this activity.

It was a very informative and fun tour. Our guide was knowledgeable, and diverse. We liked history she shared, food knowledge and connection she had with the vendors. Also, the diversity of what we got to taste!

I was hesitant in scheduling a tour because I was with my 18 and 21 year old children. Their ideas of fun often differ from mine. We scheduled last minute. So GLAD we did. We visited Pikes Place Market about 30 min before the tour, kids were already to go. I was worried about spending another 2 hours on the tour. What a surprise, it was so informative. The information given was the perfect amount, not too much and very interesting. My kiddos really were so happy with it, even declared it the best part of our trip. After the 2 hour tour my kids wanted to spend more time exploring and tasting. I would definitely recommend this tour to all. I will not hesitate to take my 9 year old next time. Thank you so much Carolyn Manning for a memorable time.

This tour was great! I don't know how Carolyn remembers all of the history about Seattle and Pike Place, but add that to yummy food and you can't go wrong!
