The good and the bad. Interesting market and lots to see. Not crazy about our tour guide, Marcia. I am not a fan of salmon so please don’t ask me to take a “fairy bite” to try it. Felt too much pressure on tastings I didn’t want to do. I am quite happy to give my clam chowder portion to hubby who is a fan. Our tour went over the time so we had to rush to get to next part of our our day. While Marcia gave a lot of information as we toured the market, my favorite was the truffle store. So wish I had purchased the truffle salt. However, I did feel that we were following the “Marcia” show. I think we would have enjoyed this tour more with a different guide. Next visit we will visit the market on our own.

Great Tour and guide! (Marcia) our guide, was really knowledgeable and came prepared with just about anything we could possibly need during our tour. Tour itself was great. Learned a lot of the history and found spots some of our Seattle friends didn't even know about! And the food! Wow!! We tried sooo many different things (I have a gluten allergy and she was able to accommodate me in some way at all of our stops- which never happens- you just have to let them know ahead of time). At the end of the day, she even sent us a recap of all the places we went and all the food we sampled!

As a family that loves to experience food this was a high priority on our list and let me tell you we were not disappointed! From the moment we met with Melissa we knew it was going to be great. We got to try so many different samples whilst listening to the very knowledgeable Melissa who provided us with some great history and facts. We were only a small group and Melissa took the time to get to know us through out the 2.5hrs. This tour is well worth it, to hear the history and facts of the markets and by the end of it we were so full from all the different samples along the way. Thank you Melissa for such an enjoyable tour.
