My wife, two adults sons, and myself took the late afternoon tour at the end of May. It was a great experience - three hours on the waters off Marco Island, including a stop on a small island in the estuary where we swam and picked up shells. The captain was informed, stopping to point out dolphin sightings (he coaxed a few to ride the boat's wake which was fun to see) and other wildlife (eagle, sea turtle, various shorebirds) and to explain the role the mangroves played in the ecosystem. All in all a very fun time. We were just past peak tourist season, so we had the boat to ourselves. They provided water - we brought snacks. Wear protective covering if you are worried about the sun. plan on a few extra minutes getting to the dock - it can be a little tricky finding the entrance to the parking lot.
