We went to the LBJ Ranch and Texas Hill country, since there was three bus loads of kid that showed up to the Ranch we left a bit early and went to the Wildflower place right outside of Fredricksburg. Then went to Fredricksburg to eat lunch and shop. on the way back to the hotel we stopped at Luckenbach and Sisterdale winery. Our tour guide was Damon, he kept us laughing the whole time. He also told us some history as we went throughout the tour definitely a great time.

We toured with starshuttle. Excellent tour and well worth the time and money. Our tour guide was Ray who started the day with a courtesy call before pickup. That set the tone of the day. It is an all day tour and Ray provided an over-the-top experience. Do it and enjoy!

We booked the trip at the last minute due to a scheduling conflict with another activity. We are very happy that the original activity didn’t work out as we were pleasantly surprised at how interesting and educational this tour was. We saw some of the most beautiful country in Texas and really enjoyed the LBJ White House tour. The Park Ranger Nikki was outstanding. We also visited Fredericksburg, which is a historic German town with some of the best shopping opportunities I’ve ever experienced. We then visited Luckenbach which is the little town in the Waylon Jennings song. There are dozens of wineries in the Texas Hill country but we chose to skip that as we don’t drink but it was part of the tour if you want it. Finally, I suggest that you ask for Ray as your driver. He was outstanding. Very knowledgeable and informative with lots of stories, trivia games, sing-a-longs to keep us entertained. He also had several laminated handouts with more information about the area, the wildlife and the German migration to the area. He was very attentive to our needs and preferences to make the tour what we wanted rather than a strict adherence to a schedule.
