We had a great time. Our driver- tour guide Loretta was extremely knowledgeable and fun to be with.. Really enjoyed visiting the LBJ ranch. Would love to have gone inside but was under renovation. Still able to walk around the outside and take pictures. Fredericksburg was a neat place. Lots of choices for lunch and shopping. Would recommend this to anyone. Ask for Loretta.

This is highly recommended. It was so good to get out of the city and see what some of the country side looked like. The itinerary was excellent and there was a nice variety of things to see and visit. For me a high light was learning more about LBJ. I really didn't know a lot about him as I was quite young when he was in power but based on some of the things I remembered hearing my impression was not good. This all changed after this trip. I was very impressed with everything he accomplished during his term(s). I enjoyed the visit to the ranch and I really enjoyed listening in to the conversations taped at the Texas Whitehouse. Fredricksburg is a nice little community that would be a great place to visit for a weekend. There are a lot of little shops and restaurants that could be visited. The only thing that might have been a bit better would have been a tour guide that was a little more interactive. She was very pleasant and polite but a little more chatter would have been nice as the only thing we got on trip out of city was some recorded sessions that were often difficult to hear - or maybe they just lost my interest. On the way back to the city some music would have been nice vs a quiet sleepy bus.
