Texas White House

Important Note: Starting August 3, 2018 and until further notice, guided tours of the interior of the “Texas Whitehouse” are cancelled per the National Park Service due to needed repairs. However, guests can still explore the LBJ Ranch grounds, view exhibition pieces and artifacts in the JetStar Hangar, watch an award-winning 14-minute film, and get a picture with LBJ’s infamous JetStar aka “Air Force One-Half”.

This part of the tour is on your own. Shop or have lunch at a bier garten. Visit one of the many wine tasting rooms. Explore the home of Admiral Chester W. Nimitz.

Wow! What a fantastic tour! We enjoyed every minute of it and really felt like we got a feel for the Hill Country and the impact of LBJ on America. Jose was an awesome tour guide, as well! Extremely informative!

This tour was a total disappointment. The leader offered nothing more than transportation. He did not talk to us at all there was an annoying pre-recorded spiel, which left no chance for questions. The timing was off at various stops, so that for example, we skipped the LBJ childhood home and wasted an hour at the ranch visitor center. Trying to reach customer service is impossible, so we are venting here!

San Antonio is a getaway where there is everything for everyone. The Paseo del Río is great, very good Mexican restaurants. 100% recommended.
