This is a thoughtfully prepared and guided tour with a little bit of everything I wanted to see in the Battery Park/Wall Street areas of Manhattan. You see the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, a great view of the skyline, and while on the food tour you pass a lot of other notable sights that the guide gives information on, like the Wall Street bull, the New York Stock Exchange, the Federal Reserve, Trinity Wall Street Church and Cemetery, and one of the oldest paved streets in the city. And you get to eat tasty, New York foods along the way!
The highlight, though, is the storytelling of the immigrant experience, both historic and contemporary, in New York. The guide doesn't just give facts and information; she she tells it in an engaging way with a thread of continuity throughout the tour. She was also really personable. The food helped it all come alive for me for a full-sensory experience of the beauty of immigration that makes New York unique.
Accessibility review:
Mobility - Old cobbled streets, narrow uneven sidewalks, wide paved sidewalks. Food stops are all located on sidewalk level with either ramps or no steps to get inside. The ferries and Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island APPEAR to be wheel-friendly, but I don't know for sure. I would mention at booking and get the tour company's input and suggestions for your specific concerns.
Food allergies/sensitivities - Can note at booking, but as someone with a nut allergy, I asked the food vendors directly during the tour and skipped one thing. I still had a great time! And, as always, triple check and if in doubt, don't risk it. Would not recommend for someone with Celiac's.
Restrooms - There were ample bathroom opportunities, which can sometimes be difficult to find in the city! I noticed that at least one of the food places had an all-gender, single-person restroom with space to change a diaper.
