We chose this tour because we had two kids of ages 5 and 6 and this was the only company that allowed kids that young on ziplines. The tour guides were extremely nice and very particular about safety. They made us all feel safe while we were up in the trees. The kids were allowed to zipline by themselves on certain stretches but on others, the guide accompanied them. Our tour was at 7:30 am and there were just two other people in addition to our family so we did not have a wait at all. We started off with a short trek (can be tiring for small kids) and the first activity was the Tarzan Swing also called as the StressBuster. I can tell you it totally works since I am afraid of heights and jumping off the Tarzan Swing helped me overcome my anxiety. Of course, I had to ask the guide to push me since I had my eyes closed and there was no way I was going to jump off myself! But after that, I was ziplining like a white-faced capuchin!! TIP #1: So my tip is that if you are afraid or scared of heights and find yourself on this tour, get your adrenalin going by jumping off the Tarzan Swing. Trust me… …just get strapped in, keep your eyes closed and tell the guide to push you without telling you when. It works. The rest of the tour was spectacular and all of us loved it. We had great weather… …a tab bit windy… …but that gave a fine feeling of swaying while ziplining and it helped slow us down and giving us a chance to see the greenery and scenery around us. Oh, what a feeling it was to be flying over the canopies and at times, through them. All this was made thoroughly enjoyable by the tour guides who we trusted. I highly recommend the Original Canopy Tour. TIP #2: They do provide lockers so you can stire the stuff you don't want to carry. One point-and-shoot camera or smartphone per family is good enough because you hand it to the guide who takes pics and videos. We have real good ones that they took. TIP #3: We went in late December. I wore a light jacket, but despite it being windy, it wasn't necessary because the sun was out. Also, shorts work out just as well even though long trousers are recommended. TIP #4: Remember to shout "PURA VIDA" each time you take off!!

One of the highlights of my trip to Costa Rica. Booked through the hotel and picked up for the early (7.30) tour. This was great fun with incredible views of the Cloud Forest. The 800m zipline had amazing views right to the ocean and rappelling provided a chance to climb back up through a hollowed tree. The guides were brilliant, giving helpful tips and encouragement as well as taking photos for us. $45 was great value for the experience. I spoke to others who did alternative canopy tours which sounded nowhere near as fun as this and lacked the extras the Original Canopy Tour provides such as the Tarzan Swing. Do this tour!!!

This was our best ziplining tour in Costa Rica. Their platforms are near the top of huge old trees, and you get to climb up the hollow interior of a fig tree, so if you're interested in life in the canopy you get to see things such as epiphytes on the trunks and branches that you could never see as well from the ground. The tarzan swing and the rappel were fun, but if you're a bit nervous you can skip them and just enjoy the zip lines. The guides do everything for you, so all you have to do is hold on and enjoy.
