What a fun and relaxing afternoon! It is very busy so I wish we had arrived an hour and a half early versus an hour. You get vouchers for lunch and have to wait in line to get your meal. You also get a charcuterie meal box upon arriving at your assigned seats. Very comfortable seating and excellent service. Cocktails, other drinks and snacks are available for purchase. The open air car guide was fantastic and shared a lot of interesting history. Not much for kids to do during the 4 hours of they aren't into nature and history. We loved it and our teens brought a book to pass the time :-).

Two hours out and two back. The scenery was fantastic. The train seating was extremely comfortable. Look at the seating photos. This isn't your ordinary short line historic train trip. A gratis tray of snacks at each able and a fully loaded bar in each car. Each car has an entertaining bar tender and a docent. Plus the audio system periodically explains what you're seeing and the history you're passing through. The entire facility is very well maintained and professionally run. This isn't an isolated narrow gage tourist trap, but instead an operating short line railroad spur that happens to have a quarter mile long tourist train in addition to a freight hauler. Four hours may be a bit much for small children. And the ride will set you back $$$. But just about everyone in our car seemed to have a blast.

Thank you so much for your thoughtful review. We are so glad to hear that you and everyone else in your car enjoyed the journey. We are so proud to be able to share our amazing canyon with passengers on our daily excursions so that our freight train engineers aren't the only ones who get to enjoy the beauty! Thanks again for your review.
