Had no idea what we were seeing because the volume on the speakers was too low and fellow passengers, especially those with young children drowned out the information we wanted to hear. Very frustrating and annoying, making it pretty much a waste of $480. We won’t be back unless we get word that those problems have been remedied. Without the narrative it’s just a mediocre train ride. Also, the couches suck and hurt our backs. If we leaned back we couldn’t see and if we sat up straight so we could see, our backs had no support. And, we all felt bad and wasteful because we had to throw away most of our food because there was just too damned much! Not everyone wants to eat a sandwich that hound feed a family of 4!

My husband and I went on the Verde Canyon RR Adventure Package with friends. From the very start, things were delightful. Check-in was a breeze. We were given a booth for four people on the train, which was roomy and comfortable. The champagne toast and the snack were better than expected. Everyone who worked there, from the check-in person to the staff at the concession to bartender and the docent on the train itself were excellent. And the views were amazing! We absolutely loved this trip. In fact, our friends had done it twice before and recommended it to us, then decided to join us so they could experience it for a third time. We highly recommend this experience.

This was a fun way to start our Arizona vacation. The scenery was beautiful, the staff were friendly, attentive, and informative.
