This 4 hour excursion begins and ends in Clarkdale, AZ. It travels through the remarkable red rocks of the Verde River Valley. The ride was the highlight of our one week stay in Clarkdale, AZ. Around every bend was another fabulous view. We opted for the First Class ticket, only $$20 more than coach, and it was well worth it. Comfortable living-room style furniture, hot and cold snacks included and a champagne toast to begin our journey. Fabulous trip. Highly recommended but reserve tix in advance. Seats fill up fast.

A very relaxing ride into the Canyon along the Verde River. We were in the 1st class car, with panoramic windows and spacious seating. There was a champagne toast after boarding and appetizers. Went out to the open air car for a while to see even more. When inside the coach, there is a very informative narration throughout the trip and when they aren't speaking, you can listen to all types of music with a railroad theme to it. When in the open air car, there is a guide narrating about the rock formations you see going by and other interesting facts on the canyon. No roads into the canyon so this is the only way to see a lot of this scenery. Beautiful fall colors on the trees at this time of year.

Had the perfect weather day and incredible journey on this trip. The ride through the canyons was spectular and so enjoyable. The trip takes about 4 hours (2 hours each way) and food (hors d'oeuvres) were excellent and included in the cost of the ticket. Each car has it's own cash bar. The staff was professional, courteous and friendly. Between each passenger car is an observation open air car which gives you the opportunity for great views and pictures. I would highly recommend this trip to anyone (especially on a nice weather day).
