Come with us and explore the back creeks and swamps in search of birds and other wildlife that inhabit these southern waters within the untouched National Wildlife Refuge. The majesty of the moss-lined river is breathtaking and the peacefulness of this natural area is appealing to all. Large osprey nests can be seen along the river and at certain times of the year we are lucky enough to see the babies take their first flights. We really enjoyed the trip. It can get a little cool, but we dressed for it. The tour guide did an excellent job of telling us about all the birds and alligators we saw, along with some area history. The captain also did his job well and maneuvered the big boat so well we got close-up views. I can’t recommend this trip more highly.

The boat trip was so refreshing! After all the touristy parts of Myrtle Beach, it was awesome to see a completely different and natural side of the area. We learned loads of history and facts from the guide that truly made the trip special. We saw osprey, herons, turtles, vultures, and four different alligators - all in their natural habitat. This boat ride was the cherry on top to our beach vacation.
