A Safe and Tranquil Taste of the Wailua River

This three-hour guided tour is a wonderful paddling adventure for the whole family, idyllic paddling on the Wailua River Great panoramic scenery with the landscape and natural history genuinely and safely explained by your water borne guide.

The Wailua River became the center of activity for early Hawaiians and is known as one of Hawaii’s two most sacred places.

At night, it is said that one can still hear ancient drums thunder in concert with the nearby surf. This tour is perfect for those who want a “taste” of this wonderful river.

We loved our time together on the beautiful Wailua River with perfect weather conditions. We hit the jackpot with Izzy as our guide. She was so helpful and fun with great stories. Thank you.

We opted for the paddle-only kayaking because we had my 87-year-old mother with us. Our guide, Justice, did a great job getting us down and back the calm river. It was a gentle and relaxing ride and everyone enjoyed it. We were given snacks and a drink for the trip and fresh pineapple when we got back. It was a warm day, but we could splash ourselves with cool river water.

Aloha Jennifer, Yes the Wailua River paddle is a great choice for those who don’t care to hike to the falls and it is also one we offer and revert to when flash flood warning, makes it dicey to hike to the falls. While the scenery was beautiful, the guide dis nothing to describe what we were seeing. It was a very disconnected experience.
