Johnson Square

We will learn about the beginning of Georgia and tour the original squares. Discuss the Colonial way of life churches, monuments and markers in this area as we journey into a timeline walk of the Historic District. Then our tour proceeds down Bull Street. The tour is one miles of walking and includes stops at Civil War homes, Cemetery, Theaters and famous movie locations.

We were able to make a last minute reservation with the Savannah Belle Walking Tours and enjoyed it thoroughly. Our guide, was a self-admitted history nerd and that was perfect. She told us all about the long history of the city sights and also the many movies to have been made in the city. It was enjoyable from beginning to end.

We really enjoyed the walking tour with Michelle this morning. She is very passionate about what she does and she is so knowledgeable that it shows with her presentation. Michelle guided us through the historic district of Savannah, telling us about the history, architecture, famous people and statues in many of the squares. I would highly recommend Savannah Belle Tours.

This was my husband and I's first trip to Savannah and we are so thankful we did this tour. The meeting spot for the tour was very easy to locate. Michelle does a fabulous job incorporating Savannah's rich history with current happenings around the city. She was happy to answer any questions and was very knowledgeable about the historical monuments and homes. She even showed us a few locations where movies were filmed and gave some suggestions on dining and entertainment. This tour is a must!
