Johnson Square

We will learn about the beginning of Georgia and tour the original squares. Discuss the Colonial way of life churches, monuments and markers in this area as we journey into a timeline walk of the Historic District. Then our tour proceeds down Bull Street. The tour is one miles of walking and includes stops at Civil War homes, Cemetery, Theaters and famous movie locations.

Michelle was awesome. My boyfriend and I had not decided what we should do to start our trip in Savannah, but found this walking tour and were hoping we could get on a morning tour. We called at 8am and Michelle was happy to register us for the last 2 spots on her 10:30 tour. She was very clear about where we would meet and the tour started promptly at 10:30. Michelle led a very well organized tour that allowed us to see many squares and important buildings and landmarks while learning great educational and very interesting details about each site. My boyfriend and I learned so much that we actually enjoyed reciting various fun facts we remembered from Michelle's tour our next 2 days walking around Savannah. She has a great sense of humor and incredible passion for history, especially history of Savannah. She provided great tips for other places to see and eat during our visit. We would recommend this walking tour to anyone and actually did recommend it to many couples we met during our stay!

We had such a great time on this tour. Our guide knew so much about Savannah and its history. She shared her knowledge with such enthusiasm that we felt enthusiastic too. Highly recommend.

This is an excellent tour offering a perfect 90 minute walking introduction to the historic district. Our guide Michelle was pleasant, well versed in Savannah lore and paced the event just right. She knows what she's doing. Her website (http://www.savannahbelletours.com/home.html) is a little confusing as it didn't specify when the 1pm "in season" tour was offered. Apparently July is not that time. We went on the morning tour, no problem. I would highly this tour, having been on many in various cities.
