Johnson Square

We will learn about the beginning of Georgia and tour the original squares. Discuss the Colonial way of life churches, monuments and markers in this area as we journey into a timeline walk of the Historic District. Then our tour proceeds down Bull Street. The tour is one miles of walking and includes stops at Civil War homes, Cemetery, Theaters and famous movie locations.

We had a private tour with Michelle on the first day of our visit to Savannah. It was a great way to start our vacation and it really helped us to decide what we wanted to see and do on the remainder of our visit. A tour with Michelle is highly recommended.

Michelle was a great tour guide and you could tell she really loves her town and is fascinated with its history--that is the kind of tour guide I want! The walking was slow paced and we got to see about 15 different plazas, etc. during the 90 -120 minute walk. After all the eating there is to do in Savannah we really wanted to do some walking, so we picked this tour because of the price (only $15!) and were happily satisfied. Also I enjoyed this tour because I think we got to see a few smaller sites that wouldn't be included on larger tours of the city, like the trolley tours and Michelle's background information shows she did a lot of research and was very interesting. Highly recommended!

Michelle is an excellent tour guide and talking a walking tour is the best way to get acquainted with Savannah to begin a visit to the city. She is informative and presents in very interesting manner. She truly is interested in teaching her customers and her love for the city and what she does is quite obvious.
