Johnson Square

We will learn about the beginning of Georgia and tour the original squares. Discuss the Colonial way of life churches, monuments and markers in this area as we journey into a timeline walk of the Historic District. Then our tour proceeds down Bull Street. The tour is one miles of walking and includes stops at Civil War homes, Cemetery, Theaters and famous movie locations.

My husband and I began our weekend visit to Savannah (first time visitors) with this tour. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. It lasted about 1 3/4 hours. No rush. The guide was the owner and a Savannah native who obviously enjoys talking about her city. It was very casual and conversational. We got advice on which historic houses to tour and which restaurants were not-to-miss. I would recommend Savannah Belle to all my friends.

This is the first walking tour I have ever done but it was amazing. We just visited Savannah on a cross country adventure and had the delight of spending the afternoon with Michelle. It was impressive how much information one person could possibly know about a town! It seemed as if every building had a piece of history. Michelle not only had knowledge but a huge passion as well. It's not like listening to some monotone talker just spitting out facts. She really dives deep into the history and makes you want to know more. She was very kind and courteous to find out what really interested us and mold the tour around that. She listened and that was a big deal to us. You can tell she doesn't just give the same generic tour to everyone, but really makes each tour special. When we return to Savannah we will definitely be booking another tour!

Michelle was the tour guide providing us with great classic stories and her own personal stories. Her storytelling and facts about movies, people, restaurants etc is what makes this a great tour. We covered a specific walking area of Savannah but a very interesting one with much history. She blends the 1700's to the 2000's very well along her way. Very educational but she doesn't overwhelm you so that when you get home you can remember key facts that is relevant and interesting to you.
