Johnson Square

We will learn about the beginning of Georgia and tour the original squares. Discuss the Colonial way of life churches, monuments and markers in this area as we journey into a timeline walk of the Historic District. Then our tour proceeds down Bull Street. The tour is one miles of walking and includes stops at Civil War homes, Cemetery, Theaters and famous movie locations.

My husband and I took this tour with Michelle on Saturday, April 14, 2012. There were 14 in the group, and she had turned away a number of others so that the group would not be too large. She is knowledgeable, funny, great at answering questions, and the time went altogether too fast. She should write a book! If I can remember half of the info she shared, I will feel very comfortable with Savannah. If I lived closer than Colorado, I would take this tour again and again. Great job, Michelle!

We had a fantastic introduction to Savannah on our walking tour. Our guide was very friendly and had an easy conversational style. Pace was just right for all members of our group (ages 44 - 72). Frequent stops in the beautiful squares to share great historical background info in a very engaging format. Would highly recommend this tour - very worth the $15 for the two hour stroll.

Four of us took Michelle's walking tour of Savannah and were impressed with her knowledge of Savannah's history. She was so pleasant and answered all our questions AND she knows were the best cup cakes are! I would recommend this tour for anyone with an interest in history.
