Wonderful Whales and Wildlife Tour

Your experience is very unique because it is on a specifically designed whale watching boat. There will be only up to 13 guests aboard so there is plenty of room inside and out for everyone. Your experienced captain is a local resident with a great deal of knowledge of the wildlife and area, and lots of good stories to tell. Our tour length ensures that you have plenty of time to relax and enjoy the beauty of our area and the incredible wildlife. We’ve been sharing our part of the world with enthusiastic guests for over 25 years and would love to share it with you, too.

À quoi s'attendre

Hoonah

We will meet you at the Excursions Hub and transport you in our van to Hoonah (a 5-minute drive), where you will board the boat for your whale and wildlife tour. After returning to the harbor, you'll be met by the van and driven back to Icy Strait Point.

The crew was truly exceptional, and the vistas were absolutely stunning. We had the incredible opportunity to witness over 20 whales and even caught sight of a grizzly bear.

This is one of the highlight of our trip. We sailed with Captain Casey and his brother Kyle. Theresa even made hot cocoa for us since it was a little chilly on the water that day. She greeted us at the Excursion Centre and drove us back to our ship when it was all done. Our experience was simply amazing. Very informative and more importantly this was very respectful of the whale’s natural environment. We heard this tour was great and it did not disappoint. We spend 3 hours watching whales and even got to see a group of Orca’s. Loved every minute of this experience. I would highly recommend if you are looking for a great experience.

We had an amazing trip with Casey and John. The boat was super comfy, cozy and the hot chocolate was a welcome treat on a misty, cold day on the water. We were fortunate to see several humpbacks, a few breaching in the distance, and even more blessed when a pod of orcas appeared and swam right at our boat.
