When visiting Boston, the Freedom Trail is a must-do activity, but why not see historic sites while drinking beer? Join Ye Olde Tavern Tours to see 10 sites on the Freedom Trail-including the site of the Boston Massacre and the Old State House-and grab a drink at 3 historic taverns. Beer and/or hard cider is included in the ticket price, so all you need to do is show up ready for fun.

Our guests want a unique and memorable way to learn about Boston's revolutionary (and drunken) history and for the past ten years, we have delivered. Our guides are expertly-trained historians who are also incredibly personable. Our founder, owner, and frequent tour guide has a PhD in American history and is a two-time author. We know our stuff and are passionate about sharing the most interesting stories.

We cap each tour at 12 people to provide an intimate experience. Ye Olde Tavern Tours is the most fun and social way to experience Boston!

We participated in the Ye Olde Tavern Tour today.... Megan, our guide, was fantastic. Not only was she a subject expert but comical and passionate about the history surrounding the revolution. As we walked the Freedom Trail and visited the pubs along the way, the history of Boston came alive. The tour was approximately 3 hours long and time flew by. The pubs we visited were fabulous as was the beer.. (definitely sample the Sam Adams Boston 26.2 brew) We would highly recommend the tour!! Thanks to Megan... (The Canadians-B&C)

My wife and I went to Boston recently and this was our favorite tour by far. Brooke was our guide and she was fun and energetic. Her knowledge of the lesser known history leading up to the American Revolution was phenomenal. I would also recommend her book as companion piece to the tour. It lasted about 2 and half hours and my wife and I both would have loved to hang with Brooke even longer to hear more about old Boston. Well worth it!!!

My husband and I spent a long weekend in Boston. We did the Ye Old Tavern Tour on a Sunday at 2:00. We had a complete blast! Megan was our guide and she was amazing! We met some really great people in our group. I would highly recommend doing this tour. If they taught history this way in school I'd definitely remember it!
