When visiting Boston, the Freedom Trail is a must-do activity, but why not see historic sites while drinking beer? Join Ye Olde Tavern Tours to see 10 sites on the Freedom Trail-including the site of the Boston Massacre and the Old State House-and grab a drink at 3 historic taverns. Beer and/or hard cider is included in the ticket price, so all you need to do is show up ready for fun.

Our guests want a unique and memorable way to learn about Boston's revolutionary (and drunken) history and for the past ten years, we have delivered. Our guides are expertly-trained historians who are also incredibly personable. Our founder, owner, and frequent tour guide has a PhD in American history and is a two-time author. We know our stuff and are passionate about sharing the most interesting stories.

We cap each tour at 12 people to provide an intimate experience. Ye Olde Tavern Tours is the most fun and social way to experience Boston!

Had different family members come into Boston over the past two weekends - they were all between the ages of 24 and 32 - and we were looking for a fun, grown up tour that we could all do. Ye Olde Tavern Tour was the perfect choice! Brooke and Nina were great tour guides and really know their stuff when it comes to the history of Boston around the Revolutionary War. We all learned a ton of history and we also loved the taverns they took us to along the way. I would highly recommend the Ye Olde Tavern Tour if you are looking for a fun adult tour in Boston!! Everyone in our group had a blast!

I booked this tour knowing that we only had one day in Boston. I was not let down. How can you go wrong with mixing history and taverns! And yes, taverns played an integral role in the foundations of our Nation. Our guide was Brooke Barbier, tour guide extraordinaire! She has an amazing knowledge of the Revolutionary War with particular interest in Boston. As a matter of fact, she has written a soon to be published book on the subject. Although my wife is not a beer drinker, we both completely enjoyed our day. I cannot believe all that we learned, not only about Boston, but about the birth of our country. It is WELL worth the price and the time. On my next trip, I will do the exact same tour!

My husband and I have been to Boston many times and were looking for something different to do. Brooke was our tour guide and she was terrific! She was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about American history, Boston and beer. We had so much fun walking around the city, trying new beers and visiting historical taverns. I highly recommend this tour!
