Aventure d'observation des baleines Zodiac Raft

Aperçu
The experience of watching 40 foot (12 meter) whales from a 24 foot (7 meter) Zodiac raft is something you'll never forget! Following Hawaiian Marine Park laws of stopping at least 100 yards (90 meters) away from these magnificent animals, you get a close up look at the migrating humpback whales. It is not uncommon for them to be curious about the raft and come right under the boat!

Captain Collin and first mate Katie took us on an amazing adventure on the Zodiac raft! Collin has a lifetime of ocean knowledge and taught us interesting history about Hawaii and Kona, specifically; he watched for wildlife and directed the boat to various dolphin pods and rare birds (Boobie bird and Tropicbirds sighted today). It was a small group setting so he was able to personalize the trip for us. We loved learning about Captain Cook, seeing and learning about lava tubes, wildlife sightings, beautiful snorkeling, and just having a great time!

Went out with my two teenage boys to snorkel and hopefully swim with the Dolphins. Captain Colyn and his first mate Buddha did a phenomenal job at going above and beyond out expectations! Not only did we snorkel in the beautiful waters of Captain Cooks cove in Kona, but we saw several whales along the way and my spouse took some amazing photos. When it came time to snorkel I was scared to bejeebies to get into the water - I've seen jaws a few too many times:-) but Captain put me at ease and helped me get comfortable in the water and with my surroundings. It was absolutely fantastic! We enjoyed a nice lunch with fresh fruit before moving locations and going on a brief tour of the island and hearing the heritage of Hawaii and mysterious stories of Pale and captain cook! The captain and crew found a large ball of fish that my family was able to jump in and free dive with -a unexpected extra that was one of the highlights of the trip!!! But wait!!!Adventure did not stop there!!! The crew ~ with their expertise ~ positioned us in the deep blue waters to swim with several pods of dolphins and this was not only beautiful to watch and experience- but I know it will go down in history of their most prized experiences:-) Thank you to The crew of Captain Zodiac for taking such good care of my family. If we have the pleasure of coming back - we will definitely be back!!!! Sincerely, The Gage-Tims Family July 12,2016

Great tour! The crew was very knowledgeable about the area and whales, as well as entertaining with their discussion. They joked that it's more of a whale-waiting trip, but we were able to see a lot of whales during the 3 hour trip. There was some waiting, but the whales aren't a scheduled show, so that is to be expected. Make sure to take sunscreen!
