Our family of 4 went rafting down the Lower Animas River section during our stay in Durango. It was definitely a trip highlight! Our guide Grace helped us maneuver seamlessly down the river, without any spills or getting caught up on the rocks. The level of the river was perfect for a good, adventurous ride. The water is cold, even in July and with the water blasters on a cloudy day, we were glad we also rented the wet suits! All of the staff was SO nice and helpful. I definitely recommend this place!

Our family had a great time on the lower Animas River. It was fun, exciting and we had a great time. Our guide, Tagen, controlled our raft with skill and we all worked together to conquer the rapids. Special props to son Cody and lead oarsman, Martin - who rescued my wife Gloria when she fell overboard. Tagen had briefed us all prior to the trip and the incident was brief with no injuries. Just a little pride, my lovely bride is a good sport. All the guides and staff are excellent. Do this trip in Durango - Thanks Again, Tagen!

My family did a half-day rafting adventure out of Durango on the lower Animas River last week. It was a great ride with almost continuous action for the 3-4 hour ride. Everyone loved it! The only disappointment was that my 9-year-old had to get out of the raft and walk around the Class 3 rapids at one point. We weren't told about his until we got on the raft so he was disappointed that he had to miss some of the action. He could've totally handled it, but I know it must be a liability issue. Harris was a great guide!
