This is a private tour which means it is just you and your party on board. You will be sailing on our beautiful classic sailboat named Tara. Tara is a classic sailboat and one of a kind in NYC. You will sail past Elis Island and the Statue of Liberty and learn about the history and some unique stories on their construction. You will also get a beautiful view of the Brooklyn Bridge and learn about the construction.

We will get as close as possible to the Statue of Liberty for one of the best photo opportunities and view on the Harbor. Your captain has all the knowledge about her history from construction to the beautiful statue you see today.

Brooklyn Bridge

We will pass by the Brooklyn Bridge for a great photo opportunity. Your captain will give the history of the bridge including how it got its name. It is not as easy as it seems.

Lower Manhattan

You will experience the view of Lower Manhattan from the water. A view you will never forget. We will explain the architecture and history of the buildings including some unique stories on construction.

Ellis Island

Viewed from the water and your captain has wonderful commentary. We will explain the history of the architecture and the path immigrants took to get to America. The island is full of rich historical information that we will pass along. For example, no that is not graffiti on the building, we will explain as we glide by.

Governors Island

As we sail past the island we will explain the history and fun things to do! What is that round building? How did it get its name? What is that gray octagon building? Do people live there? So many questions and we have the answer. Governor’s island is a great place to visit for so many reasons.

The stars were aligned and we had great wind from the west and tide was in our favor. Magical Sunset sail it was better than spending the money on my therapist. Worth the price of admission. Very memorable and Captain Matt is the best sailor from the North Cove. Beautiful handcrafted wooden sailboat ! I look forward to the next trip out soon. Cheers. Thank you. J.

A delightful surprise awaited me on my recent trip with Tribeca Sailing. I hadn't personally made the booking – that was a friend's doing. But to my astonishment, as we approached the dock, the legendary Hinckley Pilot 35 was there in all its glory. Captain Matt Beck took the helm for our journey, and his expertise and personable nature made the trip truly special. He was exceptionally welcoming and passionate about sharing the boat's rich history and unique craftsmanship. Coupled with the breathtaking views of New York City's skyline from the water, the experience was nothing short of magical. Tribeca Sailing offers not just a sailing adventure but a blend of luxury, heritage, and intimacy that's truly unmatched. I'm eagerly anticipating my next adventure aboard the Hinckley with Captain Matt leading the way.

I surprised my husband for his birthday a couple weeks ago with a Tribeca Sailing Private Sunset Charter. We boarded the Tara and were welcomed by Captain Clark. We've lived in NYC over 30 years and have never done something like this. We will absolutely repeat this experience. There are no words to describe the peaceful feeling and the freedom of viewing our beloved city from the water. The time out was spectacular and we were super fortunate to have the most epic weather and a great guide in our Captain. He even let the birthday boy take the wheel!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS TO ANY AND ALL! Thank you Tribeca Sailing for the memory of a lifetime.
