Unique to the Big Island of Hawaii, over a dozen species of whales can be found on the Kona Coast year-round! Join us as we explore the offshore in search of pilot whales, false killer whales, whale sharks, spinner dolphins, sperm whales, and more!

Our Hawaiian Adventures crew is passionate about whales, and we pride ourselves on being the whale experts of the Big Island. The ocean provides new opportunities on every tour, so trust the guides who do this every day! Our crew works hard to show you the most wildlife on every trip, and we aim to leave you with a new appreciation for Kona’s whales, wildlife, and vibrant ecosystem. Captain Andrew and Sam, the marine biologist were great. The boat is immaculate. We saw tons and tons of marine life. We saw whales, spinner dolphins, bottlenose dolphins, a hammerhead shark, fly fish, and a basking sea turtle on our way back. It was a great tour.

One of the best whale watching excursions we have have taken! Saw numerous whales with their calves surfacing near our boat. Even had a rare Pigmy whale and calf surface near us as well. Encountered a large pod of spinner dolphins that stayed and played around our boat for several minutes. Very entertaining. The boat is top notch and well taken care of and the captain Andrew and his first mate are trained marine biologists who provide great detail about each and every species that we encountered. We will definitely book their excursion again when we visit the Big Island again.
