My husband, who has walking difficulties and uses a wheelchair on occasion, and myself really enjoyed this trip. I had tried to inform Viator about the wheelchair before we went but had left it too late. So when we turned up on the day it came as a bit of a surprise to the guides. They however took it all in stride and made sure we had the front two seats on the bus and the driver had the chair on and off at each stop with no problem.
Very comfortable coach and great scenic drive on route and fantastic commentary from Mike our tour guide. Lots of great informative stories about the Amish, the one dollar bill and the Declaration of Independence. Not so good was the food stops, McDonald's for breakfast and Burger King for lunch. However plenty restroom breaks, which was great.
Stopped to visit and trek through a canyon waterfall which was very impressive, unfortunately my husband wasn't able to do the trek as it was too uneven underfoot.
The biggest disappointment was the short time of 50 minutes to see the Niagara Falls on the American side on our first evening. It may have been enough time for everyone else but not for us with the wheelchair and it was not easily accessible with the chair either as one view only had stairs and the other view had a very steep incline. We had stopped at the duty free shop for 40 minutes, I would rather of had this time at the falls as this is what I was paying to see.
Our hotel in Canada was excellent. Nice big room with two very comfortable beds. Had a fantastic meal with great service at a Greek restaurant right across the road and an excellent buffet breakfast. Lunch on the return trip was a Chinese buffet, again excellent food and service.
The highlight of the trip was the Maid of the Mist boat trip - not to be missed - fantastic experience.
Stop at shopping outlet on the way back was again very short and more time would have been appreciated.
On the whole an excellent trip not to be missed.
Most enjoyable journey from NYC to Niagara Falls. The guide was excellent and very informative both fluent in German and English and she explained wherever we were with great enthusiasm. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone. Well worth it.
We had a great experience. There is a lot of travelling in the bus, but the Falls are worth it. Wifi on the bus helped pass time, the guide was very friendly and informative.
