There were 6 of us in our party, 3 adults 3 kids. Brandon, our tour guide did an amazing job of accommodating our needs. As it turned out, the desert trail we were going to take was a little too advanced for our youngest rider (8 y/o) so we decided to head back to the shop and Brandon agreed to take out the remaining riders (2 adults 2 kids) back out and even offered to take the youngest one and mom back out to another route more age appropriate on another day free of charge. Talk about great service!
Then during our journey we encountered a rattlesnake caught in traffic trying to cross a busy street. Brandon to the rescue!
He quickly grabbed a branch on the ground and calmly collected the rattler and I filmed a National Geographic segment on my phone as he described in scientific verbiage and detail about rattlesnakes in the Arizona area. Exciting and educational, for sure.
We then continued through the desert on the e-bikes and had a blast on the trail. It’s not too difficult, but there are some technical turns. You just need to pay attention and give yourself a good 4-5 bike length distance form the rider in front of you.
We learned a lot about the desert and it’s wildlife thanks to Brandon. Worth every penny and one of our top excursions while in Arizona.
