Brandon is an excellent guide and the desert as seen on a bike tour is beautiful, however, don't be fooled by that old saying about once you know how to ride a bike! My sister and I both took this tour because, not only did it look like a great Groupon deal and a pleasant afternoon for us, but we wanted to check it out as a potential activity for our seventy something parents when they came to visit. Make no mistake, even though the bikes are electric, this is not something I would recommend for the average senior citizen! Yes, one does not forget how to ride a bike. Yes, they are electric and require a lot less pedaling. However, the trails are still narrow, the terrain is rough, and large cacti abound just inches from your bike tires (and your legs!). We are 50ish and had not been on bikes for decades. The tour was gorgeous, but not the easy and relaxing experience some may imagine when thinking electric bike. Also be aware (particularly ladies) that the nearest restroom is behind a cactus and that you may be joined by any number of creepy crawlers while completing your business.
