We chose a bus tour because I walk with a cane. Thought that we’d be on the bus for 2 hours listening. First, we had to check in for the bus on the main street in Gettysburg. After that we had to walk to where they load the buses which was a block and a half away all hills. Then we had to wait to get on the bus, and there was nowhere to sit. Since I chose a bus store because I can’t do a walking tour this was really tough. Then on the bus we started driving around and the tour guy was great. But at three different places, she asked everybody to get off of the bus walk across the field and listen to her talk. My family was able to do that but several of us stayed on the bus and waited. And while we did that, they turned the air conditioning off in 85° heat and that was really rough on the older folks that had to stay on the bus. I don’t understand why they’re not more friendly to people that have special needs and need accommodations

Laura, Thank you for your review. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed your guide. We are in the process of building a new Tour Center, and have a temporary location, which is the reason why you have a short walk to board the bus. Normally you would board directly in front of the tour center. Rest assured that we are very conscientious of our handicapped guests. The new tour center will have additional street level access for this reason. Our staff would have been happy to help you to the bus.

It was my first time in Pennsylvania, let alone Gettysburg. It was great. The bus was great. Ron the driver was nice. I can't remember the guide's name but she was very nice and informative. I can't wait to come back!
