Wes Wehking of Moving Sidewalk Tours is the perfect guide for a perfect Segway roll through downtown Asheville. We scheduled our tour weeks in advance for Wednesday, January 26th, which turned out to be a very inclement winters day. After a call to Wes letting him know that our only window of opportunity to reschedule would be the following morning, we were set up for a 10 am tour. On a beautiful quite brisk morning we were trained in the basics and then had an incredible experience. The tour was informative and fun. If you have the chance we highly recommend the Moving Sidewalk Tour.

we have the best tour guide Wes, he is such a nice guy and made sure i was feeling secure on the segway before we were off on our tour,when we finished my husband wanted to go again. so we will be back next year on vacation and plan on bringing friends to go with us. we are going to do this again . it is so much fun beats any other attraction in the area hands down. thanks Wes for a wonderful tour we had a blast! see you next year to do it again!

This was a girl's trip (and my friend's birthday 10-10-10) so we decided to do something different to celebrate! We met up with our guide Wes and inquired about a tour on Saturday morning. We were delighted by a smile and an affirmative answer. So we arrived at 1pm along with two other folks and prepared for the mysteries of the Segway. While I am not the most gracefull of folks, Wes took us through the paces and made sure we were comfortable, or at least moderately so. We hopped on and off, leaned to and fro, hips forward now back, and that zero turn thing is such a gas! We were his little ducklings and put our trust in him. It was well-founded trust as soon we were able to zoom like a pro, or again, at least able to handle ourselves in a crowd without maiming small children. The feeling was like nothing else. We stopped periodically so that we could be filled in on local lore or interesting history. We needed those stops to rest and wiggle the toes. He was constantly vigilant for the slowest while keeping the more skilled interested. He spoke intelligently and with knowledge. I can't wait to bring my husband back for the same tour! Wes, one suggestion...stickers/magnets...I survived the segway or SASV or SEGASH, you get the idea... Thanks again for a great tour!
