You will depart Tusayan, Arizona located in the South Rim of the Grand Canyon on the safest and most comfortable-tourism based helicopter in the world. Painted Desert

You will continue your journey as you follow the Colorado River upstream viewing at a distance the 146-square mile Painted Desert and the 70-foot (21-meter) Desert View Watchtower, a National Historic Landmark.

The Desert View Watchtower features an observation deck from which visitors to the national park can view eastern portions of the Grand Canyon.

Marble Canyon

Next, view Marble Canyon, the section of the Colorado River which marks the beginning of the Grand Canyon, and Point Imperial, the highest point on the North Rim at 8,803 feet (2,683 meters). Point Imperial overlooks the Painted Desert and the eastern end of Grand Canyon. You will fly through the Canyon above the North Rim heading south through the Dragon Corridor, the widest and deepest section of the Canyon.

Colorado River

At the end of your helicopter flight, you will cross over the Colorado River and fly over the South Rim and the Kaibab National Forest to land. We had a wonderful time on this helicopter tour. The pilot the staff everybody was so friendly. Flying over the Grand Canyon had amazing views. I would highly recommend it.

Next best thing to the burro ride or hiking to the bottom. Take videos as there is more than you can absorb at the time

This once-in-a-lifetime experience was seriously tainted by bad customer service. I would not advise booking through Tripadvisor. Communication ahead of our planned adventure was terrible given there was a high probability we would not fly due to weather. Our flight was shorter than what we paid for due to weather that day. Trying to get a partial refund through Tripadvisor and Maverick Helicopters was a virtual nightmare. We were given the wrong information about the refund by Maverick Helicopter staff, and the person I spoke with at Tripadvisor on this matter wasn't much help. It took an hour and a half of arguing with this person on the phone, and a Maverick employee and manager via a chatroom before the issue was resolved. I've learned my lesson. I'll never book anything through Tripadvisor again. The flight itself was wonderful. Too bad it was spoiled by too many people hiding behind vague policies with little interest in providing much needed customer service.
