Come explore the low country on a 90 minute dolphin tour with Island Head. We depart from Broad Creek Marina in the center of Hilton Head Island. We explore the beautiful water way of Broad Creek a rich eco system of wildlife including the famous bottle nose dolphin, a variety of birds, and so much more. We will also explore the Calibogue Sound where we will see from the water the famous Harbour Town Lighthouse, Daufuskie Island, Buck Island, Bull Island, and see Hilton Head Island from the water. Depending on the time of day and tides the captain will take the boat to the best spot off of these locations to increase our chances to find some wildlife.

Enjoy a smooth ride aboard our comfortable custom tour boat. There are many different routes for our USCG captain to choose from based on the conditions. This is a great was to get up close with nature in the low country.

Arden was very knowledgeable about the area and the dolphins. When we couldn’t find them right off the bat he was willing to take the tour a little bit further out so that we would be able to have some dolphin sightings. Absolutely would go again!

Ardem (sp? Sorry) was our captain and he was a very competent captain and friendly and informative. It had been a rough day with a breakdown earlier in the day, but they were doing their hardest to keep on schedule. In spite of their difficulties on the day, they came through in a big way. The boat was comfortable and more than capable. It was a plus that it wasn’t a “party boat” so a few of us could go out and enjoy the water together. The only negative for some people is the poorly marked Marina and the long walk out the dock (for those with physical handicaps this can be difficult). Once there, markings of where to meet are few, but the employees we encountered were friendly and as helpful as they could be. I recommend this company and tour.

We were delighted to see a dolphin near the dock as we walked out to catch our boat tour. Apparently he is the “resident dolphin” of that dock. Unfortunately we only saw 3 other dolphins while out on the tour but they swam and played around our boat for quite some time which was very enjoyable. Our guide, Emmett was very friendly and knowledgable about the area and the dolphins. It was an absolutely gorgeous day so we felt it was well worth the cost even if just for the relaxing boat ride and scenic views. Would definitely recommend.
