We were visiting Atlanta only for a couple of days and were trying to think of a fun activity. We looked up “Things To Do” and the Peachtree Trolly ride seemed like a nice option since the only thing we knew about Georgia was that you could get some good peaches here.
There was a parking lot directly across the street from the hotel where we boarded the trolly ($20 to park, but there was an event going on so the prices everywhere were jacked up at every parking structure we saw).
The tour around downtown Atlanta and nearby neighborhoods was educational and a lot of fun. Our tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable about all of the spots we passed by (the stadium where the Falcons play, The King Center, Underground, the Coca Cola company, and a bunch of nice sounding restaurants that we’ll have to try the next time we’re in town. The trolly itself was air conditioned and relatively comfortable (wooden bench-styled seats) and there was an opportunity to get off, stretch our legs and stop by a restroom so we weren’t having to sit for the entire 90 minute tour.
All in all, it was well worth the ticket price, it was a fun time and I’m really glad we got to get in the tour. I highly recommend it, but make sure you book your tickets early as the available times when you want to go might be taken because it’s a popular attraction.
