Spacer po parku: City Park New Orleans Audio Tour

Przegląd
Welcome to a grand urban pleasure garden; home to the largest stand of old-growth oak trees on Earth. These magnificent Southern Live Oaks, dripping with Spanish moss, are silent witnesses to over 700 years of natural history and local culture.

We will explore a mesmerizing landscape brimming with wildlife, picturesque bayous, secluded fountains, romantic stories, Neo-Classical and Art-Deco architecture, WPA-era gardens and bridges, Enrique Alferez sculpture, and “flying horses.” City Park represents the heart and soul of New Orleans. Join me as we celebrate the successful relationship between nature’s splendor and humanity’s creative achievements.

The tour is ready whenever you are and the audio plays automatically at exactly the right time and place using your smartphone's GPS and the VoiceMap mobile app, which also works offline.

W New Orleans Museum of Art znajduje się kolekcja ponad 40 000 obiektów, w tym dzieła Picassa, Matisse'a, Moneta, Pollocka, Renoira, a także Edgara Degasa, który mieszkał w Nowym Orleanie przez krótki czas. Architektura sprawia wrażenie greckiej świątyni, nieco zmodyfikowanej, sugerującej bardziej subtropikalny wygląd z uwzględnieniem dachu z hiszpańskiej dachówki.
