They packed so many tables of families into one area that the last few rows couldn’t see the show. It felt like they cared more about seeing how many people they can fit rather than caring enough to make sure their guests can actually see the show they paid to enjoy. The food was as if you were at a cafeteria. It was the least enjoyable meal I’ve had while in Hawaii. The meal was only one step up from the very bad sandwiches at Pearl Harbor. They take you picture before the show. We really like it, but I refused to spend the money on the picture because the meal was pot and we couldn’t even see the show. I attached pictures of the performance. Those pink, bright dots past the people is the performers in the stage. Don’t bother spending your money for this Luau. Go somewhere else with better food and better seating.

The food was ok. The wait staff was amazing you had a new drink waiting for you before you could even ask! The show its self was a little disappoint.

This was our first Luau and the setting at the Royal Kona Resort was spectacular. The food was good and plentiful even though we were the last table to be sent to the buffet. We were concerned because of other reviews we had read so we got into line at 4:30 pm. There really was no need to go early because the tables were already numbered and reserved. It was very well organized. We could have stayed and gotten a second round at Don's Mai Tai bar before the Luau rather than standing in line before the 5:00 pm start. The show was amazing, although our view was blocked by people holding up their Iphones to record THE ENTIRE Performance. It baffles me why people do this?! Instead of enjoying the show they feel the need to record it. Very annoying. Perhaps a polite request at the beginning of the show by the host asking the guests to put their phones away during the performance in order to fully enjoy the show themselves and to not obstruct the view of those behind them is needed. From what we were able to see, the show was fabulous!
