I’ve done upwards of 14 escape rooms now, and the Speakeasy here was one of my favorites. The actor, Alex, was so much fun! He stayed in character the whole time and made the experience immersive. He was also super helpful. I was originally hesitant about having an actor but it was actually so much more fun. There are so many fun sidetracks to go down in this game. I highly suggest it!

We were a party of 8 and when we arrived, we were told the room we booked was not working. We all traveled from at least 40 minutes away so we all drove there to find out we didn't get the room we originally booked. They said they tried to contact us but all we got was the confirmation email. Alex, at the front desk was a bit rude and did not take ownership of the problem, telling us it was not his fault. Rather than just apologize he blamed his manager and basically told us it was our own problem. We were offered a different room 2 hours after our original appointment that was the hardest room at this location. As a consolation for the problem with the room we were given 4 t shirts. I guess we were meant to share the 4 shirts among the 8 of us. We even asked Alex if the room would be appropriate for our group as we had 3 kids as well. And he said it would be fine. The room was not appropriate for our group. We had never done a proper escape room and we had kids. It was overly hard and convoluted for us. So why he recommended the speak easy room for our group I have no idea. The whole experience left me with a bad taste. And the compensation they offered for the room not working and us having to wait 2 hours for a new room was really inadequate. I felt it was not as fun an experience as it should have been. Left feeling very disappointed and not really wanting to do another room with the company.

Hi Selina, I am so sorry that you had this experience. This was an unusual situation and I regret that we were unable to reach you. It does happen from time to time that one of our rooms will suffer some kind of critical failure that makes it unplayable. When that happens we do try to contact players using the information provided in their booking. As we were not provided an accurate phone number I was sadly unable to call you. I did send you an email but it seems that it did not reach you in time. I would love the opportunity to make things better for you. Obviously we would like to provide every group with the best experience ever. But things will go wrong sometimes and when that happens we want to do everything we can to make up for it. Skyler was so dedicated to his craft and we had SO MUCH FUN in the escape room solving riddles. It might have been one of the most well thought out escape rooms I’ve been in. I loved having another human to interact with that was part of the game! 10/10 from us!
