We enjoyed our trip. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and talked about the park, its history, geology, ecology, flora and fauna. We really enjoyed that he spent time on each topic and had a lot of examples to show us. We traveled with my 89 year old mother and our guide certainly took in consideration her limitations as far as walking distances and my mother also liked the trip. We probably stopped in at least 8 different places. I liked that we stayed away from the Bear Lake area as we have been there on our own quite a few times. Our guide tried very hard to find us some big animals like moose or elk but they just weren’t around on the day of our tour. We live in an area of Colorado where we see moose and elk quite frequently so it probably wasn’t as big a deal to us as it would be for people from other parts of the country. We did see a big group of elk in Estes Park as we headed out of town after the tour. I rate it 4 stars based on the use of the two way radio’s. We really had to strain at times to hear what our guide was telling us over the radio and had to travel windows up to help hear. We missed some of what was said and that was unfortunate. Overall, a very good introduction to Rocky Mountain National Park and I would recommend to anyone who’s coming to the park for the first time or those who want to get really immersive.
