Saw this show on Thanksgiving.
As someone who has not been a religious viewer of AGT, I was not familiar with any of the performers but came away very impressed with most of them, particularly the trapeze artists 'Duo Transcend", the knife-throwing 'Deadly Games", and the "Clairvoyants". Needless to say I was on the edge of my seat during the riskier stunts. The MC, Preacher Lawson, was great though some of his jokes could be described as 'blue', that parents may want to be aware of if bringing their kids.
On the technical side, the show could invest in improving their video quality and audio levels. The images were often blurry when videos were being played, and the sound quality could vary depending on where you are seated. There were moments when I could not hear dialogue, because they had the music mixed too loud.
I was also not a fan of the show being an obvious vehicle for further propagating the 'American dream' myth and Simon Cowell's genius, though I cannot deny the performers' backstories are inspiring and worth celebrating. Kodi Lee in particular.
All that said, I felt like the performers and staff really wanted to ensure we had a good time. There were several photo opportunities and audience participation moments, and some of the performers even greeted the audience after the show for pictures.
Though my seat was off to the side, one of the ushers offered to move me closer to the center, which was greatly appreciated!
A fun, entertaining way to spend an evening, particularly if you are an AGT fan. Because the show's only just begun a few weeks ago, I feel there are some kinks it is still working out, but given time this may be one of the great mainstays in Vegas.
