American Adventure: Uptown Bike Tour w Nowym Orleanie

Przegląd
When Louisiana was purchased by the United States in 1803 the dynamics of the city began to shift. Trace the journey of American settlement in a foreign French Creole world. As we journey into the Uptown American Sector, we stop to learn about the uptown innovators who created Jazz at the Rampart-Perdido Corridor.

From there you're off to learn about the Garden Districts evolution from a sugar plantation through its development after the Louisiana Purchase into the extravagant faubourg that you see today. Trees that grow Mardi Gras beads, American history, antebellum mansions, Lafayette Cemetery #1, and a charm that only our city can bestow on its visitors.

Join us on this urban adventure through one of the most majestic neighborhoods in New Orleans!

Our guide, Barrett was knowledgeable, friendly, and very professional. My husband and I learned so much about the history of New Orleans and specifically the Garden District. The only reason I gave four stars instead of five is the bikes we used on our 3 + hour tour need to be upgraded. Our bodies really felt the poor suspension of the bikes at the end. Other than that point, we would highly recommend the tour.

Thanks for taking the time to write this review. Our Public C1 bicycles are made with chromoly steel as opposed to cheaper bikes with aluminum frames. We went with a higher end bike because steel frames offer better vibration damping properties than aluminum frames. In our experience it's not the bicycles, it's the conditions of some of the streets. It's very unfortunate that some of the streets in the wealthiest neighborhoods in the city are in pretty bad shape. We will continue to advocate with the city about this issue. Thanks again for taking the time to share your experience with us.

Barrett was amazing!! Hands down the best tour guide we have had on our father daughter trips over the years. He keep the history alive and entertaining the entire trip. His ability to keep us laughing and depth of knowledge was bar none! Would take an another tour with him five days a week if we could!
