Antelope Canyon is a masterpiece of Mother Nature. It is an amazing artistry of the brush of wind, rain and climate. Nothing like I've ever seen before. Stepping into the coolness of the Canyon gave me a feeling of wonder as I looked around at the various shapes of swirls and crevices carved out of the earth allowing the sun to cast its rays upon the rock formations. There are structures appearing to resemble Abraham Lincoln, monstrous looking figures and faces and depending upon the light streaming through the top of the Canyon, different forms appeared. Magical! Along the way, we visited the Glen Canyon Dam, the Colorado River and Horseshoe Bend overlook. Amazing how water flows through the base of the canyon. Although it's a 3-hour drive both ways, it's not a wasted travel with so much to see in the early morning and a different variation on the return trip. Our guide, Sheldon was terrific as he explained the history of the region, the figures carved by Mother Nature and so much more. My favorite structure was Snoopy with Woodstock and Lucy. There are many more figures and structures to see. On the way back, the setting sun casts different rays upon the mountainous red rocks for a different view. The travel time was just as memorable as the Canyon and Bend itself. I highly recommend this tour. Thanks Sheldon...enjoyed the history and all that you shared with us about Sedona. Another thanks to Tim, our guide who took us through Antelope Canyon. Both guides were great! Job well done.
