Przegląd

Antelope Canyon X, located southeast of Lower Antelope canyon by the gateway town of Page, Arizona, is named after the Xs carved into the Navajo Sandstone created by millions of years of rainfall and wind. This part of the canyon is chiseled out by millions of years’ worth of flood erosion and impactful winds on its sandstone, enough to sculpt out the iconic "X" shape that aptly named the canyon.

Canyon X is a relatively new scenic tour and the lesser-known cousin of Upper/Lower Antelope Canyon, which results in fewer visitors by comparison to the other two.

Canyon X is a mixture of the characteristics of both the Upper and Lower canyon, with the Upper’s feature of pillars of light and the Lower’s steepness. Canyon X is also deeper than the other two and brings ample photo opportunities. It truly is a great vacation spot for photography as well.

We had Jordan for a guide. He was very knowledgeable of the canyon. He helped with pointing out the best places to take pictures. He also took pictures for us. I can see why a tour later in the day would be better. We went at 9 and the lighting was a little flat in some areas. Canyon X shows what Upper and Lower canyons are like but in one tour. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful! Highly recommend this tour!!!

This was the only tour available at the time I was going to be in Page, and it is fantastic. Our guide Mark was very knowledgable and shared many insights about the canyon as we walked through. I'm handicapped and unable to do strenuous hikes, so Canyon X was just right for me. If you think you would like to go on this tour, consider the photo tour, because we were allowed to take as many pictures as we wanted, and go at our own pace.
